Deep Enough To Dream
November 30, 2007
As I look to the sky, it reveals the colors of love
Deep enough to dream in brilliant colors that I have never seen
Father please let me not be dreaming again
I am staring out into the night,
Remembering the pain,
Searching for the place where feeling good don’t cost a thing
She keeps a journal, but all the pages are wrinkled
Due to the tears that she has cried
I don’t want to regret this life just for her
But we’ve tried for the last time
Feeling like I am caught up in maze
Stuck in the middle, between my feelings and what is real
Slouching in a plastic chair, running my fingers through my hair,
I close my eyes, and slowly fade away
Then I hear a familiar sound; it’s the voice of the one who has tied my heart down
Sounds of a million trumpets sound, as my queens softly whispers to me
Look into the sky; it’s revealing the colors of love
Deep enough to dream in brilliant colors that I have never seen
God, do I ever have to wake up?
These thoughts and feeling are pouring over my soul
Seeing the brilliant colors, wondering if this is the answer to all my questions
Happiness is in the air that I am breathing
My hearts been held hostage by this love
Do I really have to wake up?
Looking to the sky, as it reveals the colors of love
Girl, it’s deep enough to dream in brilliant colors that we have never seen
I pray a million people join us on our wedding day
And every morning I wake up reaching out and touching the face of the one who has helped made me
